As the grandson of a winemaker, I have always been particularly fond of viticulture, wine and the beautiful properties steeped in history. That is why my wife, Nicole, and I quite naturally wanted to branch out into wine, within the framework of our group, to develop and diversify its activities. PGA Domaines is a company with a precise vision of the renaissance so necessary in our wine industry. It is a viticulture that marries tradition and savoir-faire, deeply rooted in the terroir, using decidedly modern vinification techniques - a winemaking philosophy that understands the market needs, that listens to its clients and that does not, therefore, impose its own views on consumers, but listens to them in order produce wines they like, yet with the utmost respect for the terroir and the production laws in place. It is for this reason that PGA Domaines has put in place the necessary human and technical means. Its vines are the first to have been certified ‘Environmentally-friendly’ (Agriculture Raisonné) in the Bouches du Rhone department (9th September 2005). The work carried out in the cellar is subjected to detailed traceability on a daily basis by a fulltime quality inspector and our in-house winemaker and oenologist. The team from PGA Domaines throws all its energy, demanding standards and know-how into providing our clients with the pleasure and emotion that the great wines of Provence, know how to do so well: drenched in sun, modern, fruity, supple wines with good aromatic expression – in a word, delicious! PGA Domaines runs three wineries this way, making up 220 hectares of vines in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation: - Château Beaulieu, an emblematic estate, the ‘flagship’ with its 300 hectares in a single continuous vineyard settled in the only volcano in Provence, surrounding one of the most beautiful châteaux in the region. A place steeped in history, a unique terroir and wines distributed in fifteen-odd countries… - Château des Gavelles, standing high in the heart of the thousand year old winelands of Puyricard, is an excellent domain facing due south at the foot of the Trévaresse hills… - Le Clos des 3 Sources situated on exceptional terroir uses organic viticulture… Come and discover these beautiful estates on the website and we trust you will feel like tasting the wines… Pierre and Nicole Guénant
